The room of the guards

In the room of the Guards, three principal types of weapons: on each side of the chimney and on the rack, of the Afghan weapons of XVIIIè, all of the weapons with flint (the blow left while striking flint), they are weapons entirely encrusted with bone, mother-of-pearl or copper. Very beautiful weapons with decoration on checkerworks and of small flowers. These weapons were the "currency" which the English used to pay the Afghan goods, and with a quite clear intention: to arm the tribes to cause the revolt and to help the British empire in its hegemonic policy.

Weapons Persians of XVIè, damasquin and spiked helmets with their small net of coat of mail, shields very decorated. There is also small a rondache remarkable with, around, the sentences of Coran, four temptations of the warrior to the four angles and especially in the center, Chaïtam, the Satan of the Moslems, which is surrounded of the Magic Circle, so that it is not harmful, but which is located at the most neuralgic point of the weapon.
